I'm in the early stages of building out my basement home theater setup, and one thing I’m stuck on is the best way to hide the TV when not in use. I’ve seen those lift cabinets and drop-down ceiling setups, and they look awesome, but I’m worried about the noise of the actuator. I want something that won’t ruin the vibe when it’s going up or down. Anyone here dealt with this? Recommendations welcome, especially if you've actually installed one.
